*POSTDOCTORAL POSITION *

Postdoctoral Fellow sought for NIH-funded studies of the innate immune response to herpes simplex virus. Applicant ideally should be familiar with animal models of virus pathogenesis, virologic and/or immunologic techniques, and molecular biology including virus growth and isolation, tissue culture, measurements of cytokine production, cloning, PCR, Northern blot, western blot, and immunohistochemistry. Emphasis of study will be to understand the mechanisms by which a herpesvirus protein interferes with the host innate immune response and the impact of this activity on pathogenesis.
