*POSTDOCTORAL POSITION *
Interested individuals in this postdoctoral position should be familiar with
protein chemistry. Integration of the retrovirus DNA genome into the host chromosome
requires the retrovirus integrase. Emphasis of study will be to understand the
protein-protein and protein-DNA interactions involved in assembly of macromolecular
complexes capable of mediating the retrovirus integration process. A variety
of biochemical and molecular techniques, including DNA cloning and sequencing,
site-directed mutagenesis, protein expression in bacterial cells, protein purification,
and biophysical measurements will be employed.
